I’ve had problematic skin for as long as I can remember. My preteen acne issues eventually became adult acne issues, and I even suffered from staph infections and MRSA as a teenager (as mentioned in this post). It wasn’t fun – believe me.
As a result of my aforementioned acne issues, my dermatologists have long recommended that I use retinol products. Retinol products boost collagen production and unclog pores… so they’re ideal for those who suffer from acne and want to incorporate more anti-aging products into their routine (aka: me).
Thus, when Vivo Per Lei reached out to me about trying out their retinol skincare line, I was eager to try the products. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing an at-home retinol facial two or three times each week and I have definitely seen a difference in my skin! Also this line is great because it’s actually affordable – each product is under $40!
I hope y’all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I celebrated the holiday with one of my best friends. And our holiday went from not-so-glam to super glam. We had take-out Crisp salads for dinner and then we went to Dallas Opera’s The Ring of Polykrates + Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D major. It was the perfect production for Valentine’s Day. I had never heard of this opera before, but it was absolutely delightful. And adorable.
As we were getting ready for the opera and getting the lettuce out of our teeth (glamorous, I know), I started thinking about what I would post today. And then I took a look at my counter and realized I use the same products every time I need to get glam. It’s seriously almost mechanical. I go to so many events that it now takes me less than 20 minutes to go from fresh-faced to fancy AF.
So, I thought it about time I share all of the products in that routine with y’all… as well as the best dupes to help you get glam on a budget. All of my budget-friendly picks are under $15 and almost all of my non-budget-friendly picks are still under $50.
I am so excited to be partnering with Dove today to bring you all of my favorite personal care tips for workouts. I employ each of these tips on an almost-daily basis. AKA whenever I work out, which, admittedly, should be a much more frequent occurrence.
One of the things I love about my job as a blogger is getting to partner with brands I truly love. And Dove is 1000% one of those brands. I purchased the Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant less than one week ago, but I’ve already gone back and purchased two more scents because I honestly like it so much.
A few weeks ago, I hosted an event at one of the several MiniLuxe locations here in Dallas. It was so wonderful meeting all of you who came to the event at the Preston Center location (over 60 of you were there!).
But, if you missed it, I thought I’d share a bit more about why MiniLuxe is my go-to nail salon in Dallas.
About a month and a half ago, I went to Korea. It was my first-ever time in Asia. I loved the food. I loved getting to visit the headquarters of LG Display and Samsung and marvel at their technologically-advanced wonders. And then I discovered Korean skincare.
I’ve talked on the blog before about my naturally horrible skin. I have dealt with medication-worthy acne for years. For some reason, I get legit every skin infection under the sun (I was even hospitalized for one once – that’s where the scar between my eyes comes from). So, when I was in Korea, I bought a few Korean skincare products just to see if they lived up to the hype/could do anything to help my acne.
Y’all, my skin has never looked better. So I thought I’d share the best Korean skincare products I’ve discovered thus far with y’all, in the hopes my skincare regimen might help one or two of y’all out too! You can buy all of the products I’ve listed below on Amazon… so if you worry about where to buy Korean beauty products while not in Korea, I’ve got ya covered.
PS I’m sharing the dirty deets about a HUGE sale at the very bottom of this post!
