After quite the gluttonous weekend, is it really any surprise I’m writing about the best happy hour in Dallas today? I mean, yes, it’s my first day of work… and that’s definitely worth mentioning… but so is the fact that I have 5 awesome spots at which I can grab a post-work cocktail for $5.
Happy Monday. I’ve been busy prepping for some fun things I have up my sleeves in the next few weeks. And celebrating the weekend. Obviously.
Today, we’re talking all about how to dress for spring in Texas. If this is your first spring in the lone star state, may the force be with you. Texas weather is notoriously erratic. In the past week, we’ve had a day of 50°F and rainy and a day of 87°F without a cloud in the sky.
If you’re anything like me, Christmastime is your favorite time of the year. I love driving around Highland Park at night, looking at all of the pretty lights, jamming out to all of the Christmas carols. In my jammies. With a steaming cup of hot chocolate. This has become my nightly ritual ever since I got back from celebrating Thanksgiving in Austin.

A few weeks ago, I hosted an event at one of the several MiniLuxe locations here in Dallas. It was so wonderful meeting all of you who came to the event at the Preston Center location (over 60 of you were there!).
But, if you missed it, I thought I’d share a bit more about why MiniLuxe is my go-to nail salon in Dallas.
First off, shout out to Tobi for hooking me up with this stunner of an off-the-shoulder bell-sleeved dress! It’s soooo gorgeous – the smocked detail makes it perfect for day while the silhouette makes it ideal for night too!
Especially because a dress like this doesn’t hold in heat – which is absolutely necessary in the hot Texas summer. And it covers most of my arms from being sunburned. Necessary for this super pale human.
After nearly 25 years of living in Texas, I’ve figured out a few tricks to staying cool… while staying entertained. So I thought I’d share some of my favorite activities for summer in Texas.
