I’m baaaaaack! As most of you know, I am currently pursuing my MBA. And last week was finals. Which [hopefully] excuses the fact that I’ve been MIA AF lately.
But regardless: I’m back. And it’s October 16th aka my HALF BIRTHDAY (cue the party)… so it’s time for a 30 Before 30 list update! And a lil life update.
PS if you’re new to Glitter & Spice, you can check out my original 30 Before 30 list here.
What I’m Wearing:
Sweater: Brooks Brothers / Blazer: J.Crew, old (similar) / Skirt: J.Crew
Backpack: Madewell / Shoes: similar / Earrings: J.Crew / Rings: BaubleBar
So… I guess my biggest life update is that I booked a trip for December.
In August, my best guy friend moved from Dallas to London… and we (aka I) instantly came up with a plan for our next time seeing each other. As soon as finals finish in December, I’ll be flying over to London to visit him. And we’ll be going on a two-week-long adventure to London, Edinburgh, and Paris. We’ll even be spending Christmas in Paris (for which I am so stinking excited!).
So if you have any suggestions for any of those three cities, please send them my way! This will be my third trip to London and my fourth trip to Paris, but my first time to Edinburgh.
But that’s not my only update.
My 30 Before 30 List Update
I really only have one 30 Before 30 list update. But it’s a big one. So… drumroll please:
3. Learn how to do a proper pushup
I know, I know. In the immortal words of my father, “it’s friggin’ pathetic that you don’t know how to do a pushup.” But I do now, so it’s time to celebrate!
In all honestly, this was one of the items on my 30 Before 30 list I was most nervous about checking off. I’ve broken my right wrist twice, my left wrist once, my right hand once, and my right elbow once… so I honestly didn’t know if I’d even have the mobility to do a proper pushup.
When I first started working with my personal trainer, Kami (The Kalon Life), back in June, I told her this was one of my goals. So she had me start doing pushups in almost every session. We started from the knees, then, more recently, worked up to full pushups. Admittedly, I still can’t do tricep pushups… but I’m really [stupidly] excited that I can do a real pushup now.
This update was a little less exciting than most of my other 30 Before 30 list updates… but the next one will definitely be more full with fun stories! Or, at the very least, a few more operas.
