Ikat Printed Wrap Skirt

J.Crew Factory Ikat Faux-Wrap Skirt

Happy Monday, friend! How was your weekend?

I wore this ikat printed wrap skirt to brunch on Saturday with my blogger babe buddies Tayler and Mary-Katherine. We had the most leisurely brunch at Henry’s Majestic (pretty sure we spent a good 3 hours there!). My favorite thing to do during meals with friends is to get a bunch of dishes to split and share. So, for brunch, Tayler, Mary-Katherine, and I split the yummiest little avocado toast, some shrimp and grits (my favorite!), and an order of chilaquiles. YUM.

After brunch, the three of us dashed to the mall.

Soooo just to fill you in, I’ve decided to use this month to complete #5 on my 30 before 30 list: go one month without shopping.

Y’all. Spending an afternoon in a mall when you are banned from shopping (albeit, a self imposed ban) is a unique form of torture. We wandered through Nordstrom and then dashed over to Sephora so the girlies could grab a few things (including my favorite eyeliner and mascara).

It was terrible.

Even though I was in heels (well, wedges), this outfit is one of my faves for running errands. The printed wrap skirt is breezy and lightweight while also being flirty due to the drape of the fabric – making it perfect for both date night and visits to the farmer’s market. Oh, and it’s under $100. I dig.

After the mall, we magically ended up at The Rustic. Yep, magically. Don’t know how it happened. Or how it happened last weekend. Twice. Or how it happened the week before. Just magic. We grabbed drinks while being serenaded by Pat Green and then CHOWED like the dainty princesses we are at Hopdoddy for dinner. Four of us probably ate more than a football team. Like an entire football team. It was truly impressive.

So basically here are the takeaways: 1) this skirt is comfy, perfect for weekends, and under $100. 2) Henry’s Majestic has a crazy-yum brunch. 3) Nutella and Chocolate Pretzel milkshakes with Frangelico liquor in them are sinfully good.

How did you spend your weekend?
