About a month and a half ago, I went to Korea. It was my first-ever time in Asia. I loved the food. I loved getting to visit the headquarters of LG Display and Samsung and marvel at their technologically-advanced wonders. And then I discovered Korean skincare.
I’ve talked on the blog before about my naturally horrible skin. I have dealt with medication-worthy acne for years. For some reason, I get legit every skin infection under the sun (I was even hospitalized for one once – that’s where the scar between my eyes comes from). So, when I was in Korea, I bought a few Korean skincare products just to see if they lived up to the hype/could do anything to help my acne.
Y’all, my skin has never looked better. So I thought I’d share the best Korean skincare products I’ve discovered thus far with y’all, in the hopes my skincare regimen might help one or two of y’all out too! You can buy all of the products I’ve listed below on Amazon… so if you worry about where to buy Korean beauty products while not in Korea, I’ve got ya covered.
PS I’m sharing the dirty deets about a HUGE sale at the very bottom of this post!
My skin takes a hell of a beating in a week. Between the stress of school, working out, my many late nights, working on computers for 10 hours a day, forgetting to drink tons of water, and enjoying the libations a bit too much at times, my skin is a total disaster by the weekend.
A few weeks ago, Lionesse Beauty sent me a few super-hydrating items from their Diamond Collection and I can already see the difference in my skin. I use the serum on an almost-daily basis and I’ve started a little Sunday night tradition of using the facial and eye mask right before I go to bed. And then every Monday morning, I wake up, not as much bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as I am bleary-eyed and mentally nonfunctional before coffee… but at least my skin is super hydrated and ready for the week ahead!
Lately, I’ve been getting a ton of questions about how I do my hair for blog posts. Pretty much, it’s either straight with the ends curled in (like here) or in loose curls (like here). Since the former is pretty stinkin’ easy, I thought I’d share my everyday loose curls tutorial so y’all can copy my look.
FYI, I’m pretty sure this hairstyle is just as easy as my straight hair look (and that’s why “easy” is in the title!).
I take my hair very seriously. In fact, I even have a haircare routine. I am constantly on the lookout for the next great thing in haircare… or even just a product that will magically get rid of my split ends and make my hair voluminous and beautiful.
Yesterday on my Instagram, I mentioned a brand I have come to love over the past few months: Lionesse. When I say that the Lionesse Skin Care line has completely changed my skin, I’m not kidding.
Before we really get cookin’ on today’s post, I just want to say that this is the skincare line that worked for me. However, we’re not all the same and what worked for me might not work for you. As with any skincare change, I highly recommend testing the products on your hands and/or on a patch on your neck for a few days before making the switch, just to make sure that you get the desired results (and don’t break out in hives – I can’t even tell you how many times that has happened to me!).
